Christmas 2010

Wahoo! We got a camera for Christmas! Here are the pictures to prove it.
Sam opening his gift.
New church shoes!

Ethan helping me open my gift.

A new Broncos sweatshirt!
The Grinch!

Singing Fridge Alphabet!
A Police Car!
He honked and waved the other direction while I was trying to take his picture.
After we opened presents we visited grandparents. First we went to the Wolfs', but I forgot to take pictures. Then we went to the Gleasons'.
Playing in Grandma Gleason's cupboards.
Grandpa and Grandma Gleason. Please note my dad's new "hair."

Thanks everyone for the wonderful gifts, we are so spoiled.
Merry Christmas!

1 Year Old

Ethan turned 1 on October 14th. His 12 month stats were 24 lbs and 32 inches.

To celebrate his birthday we ate bananas for breakfast (his favorite), unwrapped a new dump truck, went out for ice cream, and just played. Unfortunately we forgot the camera when we went for ice cream; I got a few pictures on my phone but I haven't been able to find a cable that will fit to my phone to get the pictures.

PS. Don't expect any pictures for a while, our camera broke.

Pumpkin Carving

I have been trying for 5 years to get Sam to carve pumpkins with me. Finally, this year we did it. Last week we carved pumpkins with Sam's brother Alma and his wife Amy.

Here we are cleaning out the guts (mine had a ton).

The finished product:

This picture was Sam's idea.

Our summer #1

I have been so bad about posting so there will probably be several over the next couple of days (If I remember).

Sam had eye surgery!

His first surgery was in June and the second was done the end of July. He had surgery to fix his keratoconus and correct his vision. The second surgery was pretty intense. He had to be completely unconscious and they worked on him for nearly 2 1/2 hours. Afterwords, the doctor told him for the first five days he had to remain motionless and keep his eyes closed. He was bored after the first 5 minutes.

Sam is doing great now. Before the surgery his vision was somewhere around 20/500 and 20/600 and now it is 20/25.

Done!

I'm done! I just finished my last final, my very last final. Finally, I'm done! I now have, well at least I will when my grades are posted, a BS in Anthropology and a BS in Political Science. And so I must say, congratulations to me!

It's Been a While

Wow, it has been forever since I posted. I just haven't really been in the mood, but now I am so be prepared, there are a ton of pictures.

Since my last post in February, Ethan has grown up a lot (Sam and I have too, but the change isn't as obvious). Currently, Ethan is 9 months old and has 6 teeth (4 on top, 2 on bottom), likes to bite me (but no one else), and crawls all over the place. Sam is on the bike squad and I am in my last semester at the U.

The pictures are from oldest to most recent.

Ethan's swing said it was for infants up to 25 pounds, but we had to stop using it a while ago because Ethan would lean forward and hold on to the pole or he would hold the toys and make the motor grind.

Just in case you were wondering, we don't smile all the time.

Ethan loves being read to. Currently his favorite book is "Night, Night, Little Pookie." He squeals when you start reading it.

He is starting to climb and will use anything he can get his feet on. He has made it on top of the couch a few times.

Ethan is obsessed with the camera. As soon as he sees it makes a mad dash towards it; you only get shot and then he's on the move.

Ethan loves fresh peaches. He won't eat them mashed or cut up, he likes to bite it.

Ethan loves playing with his daddy and no one can get Ethan laughing like Sam.
